Lin’an’s first Platinum-rated accommodation—the Moon Workshop Homestay Series—is located in Yue Liang Qiao Village, Tianmu Mountain Town, just 6 kilometers from the Tianmu Mountain exit of the Hangrui Expressway and only 2 kilometers from the Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve, a drive of about 5 minutes. It is conveniently situated next to several resort, leisure, and entertainment destinations.
The Moon Workshop was originally an old, dilapidated mud house in the countryside. When selecting the site for the guesthouse, great care was taken to make rational use of existing resources: a structurally unsound, dilapidated building owned by the village collective was leased, and every effort was made to preserve the original architectural structure of the dwelling. Old brick walls, traditional mud walls, wooden roof beams, and floorboards were retained, while the building underwent extensive reinforcement and renovation. Through professional design, restoration, and adaptive reuse, the project highlights a harmonious integration with the local natural landscape—creating a scenic, nature-inspired retreat that exudes modern style and comfort.
The architectural style draws on the classical characteristics of the Tianmu Mountain range, while the soft furnishings seamlessly incorporate European and American influences, creating a harmonious blend of old and new, East and West. The public areas are thoughtfully arranged into five distinct zones: a special reception hall, a book bar, a fireplace lounge, a tatami room, and a courtyard—each offering a relatively self-contained space that ensures privacy and tranquility. The lobby is clearly zoned, with a warm and inviting atmosphere despite the absence of an overabundance of design elements. Upstairs, the guest rooms feature stylish yet understated decor, evoking a timeless, rustic charm; guests can soak in the bathtub, savor a cup of tea, and admire the view outside, fully embracing a peaceful, unhurried lifestyle.
Moon Workshop Tea House—where clear springs and the bright moon keep you company—is a secluded, high-end guesthouse nestled in the mountains, offering a warm and cozy home to every traveler who comes from afar.
The property boasts comprehensive amenities, including a swimming pool, restaurant, and tea room. Floor-to-ceiling windows that span an entire wall allow you to truly “open the door and see the mountains,” while the rooftop features a 360° panoramic observation deck where you can stargaze, admire the moon, and leisurely watch the clouds drift by.
The rooms come in a variety of styles, adorned in soft, soothing color palettes, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that let in abundant natural light, custom-made high-end furnishings, and meticulously selected tea sets. Here, you can gaze at a sky full of twinkling stars, savor the delicate aroma of fine tea, listen to the chorus of croaking frogs, and reconnect with the natural wilderness—allowing both body and mind to find profound peace and relaxation.
At Moon Workshop, everyone has their own little haven of freedom and peace—no matter where you are, no matter your age, no matter the time of day. Whether it’s morning or night, Moon Workshop lets you experience the true essence of a vacation: a place to linger, to let time slip by, and to effortlessly escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
